As you can tell, I like swords. I like playing with them. Especially those that are as long as the user is tall. Or close enough, kind of like:

Yes, like that. Generally, I have one demand about it. Like no cutting through other swords with other swords. (I'm looking at you, katana cultists!) Otherwise, all disciplines welcome. Maybe I can learn a thing or two about historical swordfighting. Well, any takers? I'd like to discuss a story in private and cooperate with my partner about it.

I am definitely in. But my sword tastes are somewhat exotic...

Well, my sword style uses two very unique twin blades. think large sickles with both edges sharpened and the bottom half serrated. Specifically designed to cripple and counter.

Uh, serrated? That's not really a good thing to have a on a sword.

Ill draw a pic and post it as soon as i can. I know serrations of any real depth are just going to weaken the overall structure...

They will Not weaken the blade. At least, not if done properly. Look into "Sword breakers" for more on that...

No, The problem is More that they'll get snagged on everything you don't want them to (Which is the job of sword breakers, after all; To snag on the other person's blade and yank it from their grasp.) You don't want your sword getting caught on fools while you are fighting, because all of a sudden the blade'll get caught on their clothes or in their flesh and they'll turn away from you and yank it from your grasp and hey presto, you have no weapon. And then you are a dead man.

Swords do not cut like saws; Teeth fail miserably. No exceptions.

In regards to the Roleplay, I would be interested, but let's be frank. If a Viking is going up against a Zweihander wielding Maniac in plate armour, that's only going to end one way; Shield chopped into kindling and Viking chopped into salami.

Tom raises a valid set of point, I think...

I've been going over some historical records and I think a slightly modified khopesh would work well for my style. I like speed and maneuverability over power with the ability to counter frequently and often. It seems like a damascus khopesh with slight serrations on the incurve for catching blades and disarming, while the hilt is fitted with a swordbreaker and knuckle spikes for extremely cqc.

I wouldn't necessarily be against my partner, unless they wanted to meet a big sword in the face. You might want to add more scars to your avatars if it so happens.

I could accept that. After all, a part of warfare is keeping yourself alive outside of battle, too.
