  • You know your workplace is fun when you come out of the training room to your coworker shoving another coworker into the trunk of a car on the sales floor
first day as car sales was a success- now i need to do my certifications and then i can actually start selling
fiiinnaalllyyy got my headlight fixed. I fixed it a few days ago but i been waiting to see if my fix holds, and huzzah it did! I had to extend the wiring a little bit to be able to connect the pigtail back up because the crevasse it sits in is such a pain in the ass to get crimping tools in.

(and i cant take the headlight out without removing the grille, and i can't remove the grille without removing the bumper....Chevy, y u such a pain in the ass). The headlight hasn't been working for god knows how long, considering the lense is still clear whereas the lense is fogged on the other headlight.

    BUT I DONE DID IT
Been a super long weekend, but we're moved in and slowly returning to normalcy. Starting a car sales job here soon as well, hopefully
Finally, after three long weeks, I have my truck back good as new. Total repair cost? $5,198. Luckily other dude's insurance paid all of it.
welp...truck isn't finished. I had been really looking forward to having her back today, but now i wont have her til monday at the earliest...
Sloowwllyy getting there. Kinda wish i had taken up the insurance's offer of a massage therapist for my neck, but ah well. I miss my truck :(
Stuck in a rental til the 18th...the guy really did a number on my poor truck...frame damage, hitch bent to fuck, bumper destroyed, etc... :( I just want my baby back
Recovery is going slower than i would like it to. Why are brain injuries so annoying D:<
appraisal today: apparently the guy hit me hard enough to separate my hitch assembly from the frame, along with the extensive bumper damage and knocking my gas gauge sensor out of whack.

New bumper for sure and they wont know on the hitch assembly til they can get in and tear it out, and fuel pump is fine but the sensor that tells ya how much gas you have is off by about 5 gallons. Repairs start next monday

That's good to hear thank goodness you own the truck if that had been your caddy I'm sure it would of been worse.

Needless to say, with how hard he hit me, it would have totaled the caddy and had the potential of hitting the gas tank (which is under the trunk) and ending up a lot worse. So yeah, i'm super glad for the truck and how sturdy it is and that things didnt turn out a lot worse for either of us
I'm so tired of my head feeling like its stuck in a hydraulic press, of my neck being stiff to the point where no matter what position i'm in i can't be comfortable, not to mention these goddamn sounds ringing in my head. I cant drive anywhere because its overstimulating to the point where i shut down, and knowing that i wont be back to 100% for weeks just seems to make it so much worse
Heading to urgent care in the morning to be checked out for concussion. I just wanna sleep Dx

nah, there was an ambulance in oncoming traffic and we were stopped at the light and i didnt move just in case the ambulance needed to turn, but he wasnt paying attention and rear ended me
Can't wait to move. Tired of this shitty city and the awful traffic/people that come with it
It's...humbling to see firsthand the aftermath of flooding. Just seeing everyone's entire livelihood sitting on the side of the road to be hauled away..bah. absolutely heartbreaking.
Going to be a long week next week. Glad for my truck, because going to be doing a lot of hauling that i wouldn't have been able to do with the cadillac....time to rebuild and repair, Grand Forks is a strong town and will conquer
Taking commissions and donations so that i can buy dog food for the kennels in Grand Forks that have taken the pets of the people evacuated. If you're interested in either, message me!

Well, the flood water is slowly receding- for now. there's supposed to be hot weather this week, so it just may bring the flooding back again but so far they've been evaluating all the houses and marking which are safe to return, repair, or are to be torn down kinda thing. My mother in law's house was marked for repair, thankfully but it will be a long time before she can move back in.

the dogs of 3,000 displaced residents are being kept at a shelter and taken care of free of charge, including my mother in law's dogs, and there's been calls going out for dog food and dog beds. I have arrangements to pick up 7 bags of dog food this weekend, but the more the better because these animals will be there for a long while while the city repairs and rebuilds

i am currently taking a buy one get one half off (of equal or lesser value) deal on my commissions to help with this. Any extra I get will be donated to the city. Here's some pictures that my MiL took: https://imgur.com/a/AtsEFM8 her basement still has 5 feet of standing water in it, as does her well and pump house
