It seems this is a popular discussion so I figured I'd make a thread for us. Talk about guns! Do you collect? Gun laws, ccw holders? Guns on your wish list?

I love rifles. Specifically semiautomatic and with silencers.

So I love world war 2 era guns. The only two I have at the moment in my collection is a 1925 mosin nagant, and a Springfield M1 Garande from November of 1942.

Ah M1 one rifle I've always wanted. I have a 1940s Mosin Nagant factory refurbish. So it definitely saw war.

A SVD is high on my list of wants I've got quite a few but cant afford to drop 2k for one right now.

Best I can do for the topic is an heirloom from my father, a Japanese rifle procured when his ship was in Japan shortly after surrender and occupation. It features a chrysanthemum on top that looks like it was purposely gouged and on the left side is a word character in a circle follower by 4 8 2 2 5 followed by three interlocked rings then two marks side by side of three short horizontal slashes. The mechanism on the back of the bolt is missing as well as the empty clip. The wooden stock looks somewhat roughly milled. I used to play with it all the time when I was big enough to lift it.

Ooh I love historic firearms! Is there a way you can post pictures? I bet it looks beautiful.

If that's a type 99, I'd hang onto it. It may not be worth as much due to the condition, but once worked on it would be an amazing family heirloom.

I'll have to send the picture to my sisters so they know what dad had. They'll be thrilled. Hopefully when I'm gone, one of their kids will take good care of it and pass it on.

My newest toy. H&K VP9 Tactical 9mm with threaded barrel and Trigicon raised night sights. It is suppressor ready and I am all ready looking at my tax stamp for it.

I'm slowly in the process of acquiring the parts to make a 1957 Xar1501 prototype. (The original Arma-lite model 15) picture below is what the prototype looks like. The original stock grip and gaurd are painted brown whilst these are brown Injection molded. 3XeK22p.jpg
