See, that's the kind of response I've come to expect from people who know not what they speak, with the only military experience being from video games. North Korea is done. It was only a matter of time.

Sooner or later you get your ass kicked making threats. I must say your not thinking properly. Kim is unstable, sooner or later he is gonna finally pop and go ham. The wold has known for a while but no one seems to get it. It isn't Trump's fault, Cleary you dont understand that.

I don't think you're giving Kim enough credit here. He's making threats, because it furthers his political ambition. The unfortunate truth of the situation is that the NK government is in power only because it has a powerful enemy to unite the people behind and justify its existence through. And that enemy is the hated USA.
It's kinda like Trump and his supporters and their irrational hatred of various things, except the NK hatred has been systematically bred in through the official state propaganda since childbirth while in the US it's been cultivated on a grass-roots level. By harnessing irrational fear of what the enemy might do to them, and using the actions which Have been taken against them as evidence of worse things to come, Kim can tell the people His truth of what the world around their nation wants and the people will support him.

But he needs to make threats to the outside world in order to remain relevant and to gain the international standing required by his closest supporters in order to keep himself in office and in power. Because as he has shown, it's really easy to lose your head in NK and Kim is deathly afraid of winding up on the other side of a coup.

Kim will posture and grandstand, but he will not risk nuclear war. He will make nukes, but he will not deploy them, because it would mean his own demise and he knows this.

However, if the US would attack or seek to cut of the head, so to speak, the NK army would turn Seoul into a ruin with conventional artillery fire alone. And after the NK high command lost control or the state collapsed, it would be a very delicate and risky operation to seize the nuclear material from them before it ended up in the hands of people who actually might use it for some bad things.
Considering the threat of WMDs lead to Iraq, which was fucked up royally and bred ISIS to plague the world, can you imagine what could happen in NK? You could have an Asian ISIS, but with nukes.

    Not exactly a pleasant situation.

Trump's comments won't lead to a change in NK policy, because Kim's back is against the wall now as much as it was before. He doesn't really care about the US's reactions, as such, because all he wants is to validate his own importance. Trump can only really lose by taking a route of aggression instead of the route of dismissal.

Foreigners, change, automation, globalization, immigrants, liberal values, federal government, social programs, solidarity, taxation of the rich, rule of law...

The list is long and to be frank, I struggle to find things or issues he is in support of. Things which would show compassion or "positive vibes". Even when he is promoting jobs, he isn't making new ones, but "taking back stolen jobs". His world is a zero-sum game where you have a finite amount of good to go around and unless you win and take Everything, you lose. And that mentality is neither realistic, nor sustainable and fundamentally antagonistic and views everything which isn't of total benefit to you as a threat.

You do realize most of that is bullshit, right? I didn't even have a a vote for Trump, and everybody is shutting on him and his supporters for no apparent reason. There is no hate of foreigners, they don't want what liberals call change, which is usually just bullshit laws banning things because they dislike them, we like legal immigrants, not illegal, and even legals dislike the illegals. They do tax the rich, which I am vehemently against any taxes, to be frank. So your list is like 10 percent accurate, they don't like liberal values, being conservatives and all, and they oppose some change and illegal immigrants. I oppose most of them, as a Libertarian. Taxes, illegals, social welfare programs, the government, gun laws, drug laws, police state, and the list goes on. Only sheep trust the government. More government means more control. People are not cattle, and do not need the government controlling most of what it does. The government is supposed to help the people, not control them by stripping away their rights.

Angry angry angry, against against against, no no no...

So what positive things are they for, then?
What good things do they wish to bring to this world? What new improvements do they propose? Things which would make better the living standards of the people at large? Things which aren't "take back old glory", because you do realize that all of that is BS, right? There is no "old glory" to be taken back. Time machines don't exist. Subsidizing Coal miners, an industry which employs 40k people, is insanity when renewable energy employs 600k people and is a growth industry with much demand in the future as the rest of the world gears up for a more environmental future.

Trump's policies can best be described as Ostritchian, after the bird which sticks its head in the ground and hopes nothing bad is going to happen...

But where is this great benefit he is proposing to the people, then?

Stripping health-care doesn't sound like it.
Trump's tax plan favours the rich and punishes the masses.
His budget plan throws billions of tax-payer dollars onto the Military while cutting funding from things like the Environmental Protection Agency, which (last I checked) is a pretty smart thing to keep funded if you like things like the Environment and most normal people probably should, because unlike the rich folk, they can't afford getting sick from pollution or move to better locations at will.
Of course, if you think that the land only exists to be exploited for maximum profit, that the ones with the most money (irrespective of its origin) should get to use the power of said money to force people into an even worse situation (by for example charging exorbitant prices for things those people cannot bargain for, like medicine, food or loans) and we should repeat the same mistakes which led to the 2008 financial crash, then he clearly is the candidate for you and these actions are great.

But all that aside, compared to the alternative, Trump's rhetoric is far more belligerent and built upon a foundation of Anger and Mistrust. "You have been mistreated! We will retake *something* from *the other folk* and avenge the forgotten!" Change a few words from that and you have prime NK propaganda...

We still have healthcare, just not commie healthcare, which I oppose. Not to mention we need to maintain our military. He opposes Border Control and deportation of illegals, which is a positive. His transgender military ban is a positive (and if you can't figure out why without pulling the bigot card, then you are just mentally regressive). It's a popular European sentiment to hate Trump, because Trump stands against the shit the EU wants to pull. He's not the perfect president, and hell, I oppose getting involved with North Korea. Not our country, not our problem. We need to fix America, before we play World Police. I had my vote on Johnson, but I am glad that Trump won, because I too am sick of liberals running shit, and destroying the foundation of this country. Y'all pretty much ruined yours, but want to drag America into the mud with you, and you hate Trump because he said fuck that. You guys made your bed, time to sleep in it.

Again, failing to demonstrate what positives Trump is for, because there aren't any...

The transgender ban isn't even in effect, because the Generals refuse to be ordered around by Twitter. And as has been made apmly clear-ish, a full-on ban makes no sense. Not medically, nor tactically. As I have shown with actual medical research, there are no medical grounds to deny transgender servicemen the right to serve.
One must be mentally retarded not to see that, a valid symptom for Not being eligible to serve, ironically.

Trumpo is also a shining beacon of using cheap foreign labor, as is his daughter. Leading by example how he wants to value the American worker. At around 4,5 or so per hour.

As for healthcare, oh please, before the ACA, you had over 20 million people without health insurance, which essnetially made them healthcareless. And now Trump wants hell for leather to take their insurance away from them, no matter that he has no plan to replace it with.

And that's a good thing? Making millions of people unable to seek medical attention? Or go bankrupt in the attempt.

Very motivating to seek employment when you know all your money is going to end up paying a six-figure medical sent when the alternative is to just live off whatever social benefits there are, or add to the crime statistics.

Or maybe, one could consider that affordable healthcare keeps people in a good place even in sickness and allows them to bounce back and contribute to society when they recover. And not spiral into default.

Maybe that's a way to consider how the country works for You, the People, rather than pandering the wealthiest few, like the President and his closest allies...

I did. You just want to see them as a negative.

If you haven't served then, you're basically talking out your ass on the issue, since part of the reason for the ban is so people don't join for the surgery, which costs money the rest of the military needs. Joining for the wrong reasons, can in fact be detrimental to your squad. Science can analyze the raw data and theorize X, but in reality someone who is already unstable on their gender, will not hold up in combat. I've seen what it does to people. It breaks them mentally, physically. If they have trouble coming to terms with their sex, then why would you think they would last after they watch their buddy from basic training get his arm blown off by an IED?

It's this beautiful thing called capitalism. Only commies hate it.

It's called supporting yourself. Sorry if I don't want my stolen money to pay for your 500 pound Jabba the hutt ass to be preserved. If you die, it sucks to be you, but hey you wanted to be a fat slob.

Yep. Because millions were barely, if able to afford the socialist healthcare. Why would we want to keep that, because people make terrible decisions?

We should axe those social benefits. Welfare is not a career, nor should it be lifelong.

Affordable healthcare, isn't. All it does is encourage the government to steal from its people.

You do realize he won because of the fact he actually seemed to care about the working man, unlike Hillary?

You DO know we are still at war with NK right? There was only a cease fire the war never ended. That fat moron is gonna a slip up with his rocket firings and hit one of our friends and kick start the war again. He needs to die and his people freed.

    1. NK threatens to turn capitalist pigs into ashen irradiated waste, what else is new? If an 8yo school idiot threatens to murder your family and blow up your house, do you call the SWAT team on his ass or shoot him in self-defence? Or threaten to murder his family in return?
    2. The Korean War happened in the 1950s. Americans have visited NK as tourists. South-Korean businesses employ NK laborers at the border, making products for the West (including the US). Finland is still "technically" at war with the UK. Your point is sheer idiocy.
    3. When NK says it will sink Japan into the ocean, you know it's just rhetoric. They've been spouting that same spiel for years. When someone who should be in charge of the most powerful nation on Earth and act with the calmness of thought, clarity of mind and stability of action which is required of such a high standing states in the United Nations, to every country on the planet, that they will wipe out an entire nation of 25 million people... Well, you make your own judgements on how capable such a person is to lead their country.

The point is, NK has the means to launch... 6 nukes. Of which maybe 1 might actually land somewhere they intended. If they're lucky. And they know that in return their entire government will be toppled and everyone in command will die, one way or the other.
    NK's threats are jokes.

When the US President makes a statement to the UN about wiping out an entire nation, having both precedents as a country of invading other nations which it does not like the regime of and having a stockpile and arsenal of nuclear (and conventional) weapons so great it could wipe out the world ten times over AND being the only nation on Earth to have ever used nuclear weapons in combat... That's quite the different story.

There is a great deal of difference between a schoolyard bully and a crazed dictator possessing nuclear weapons. If you cannot see how these two things are different, then thank the Gods I didn't go to your school.

What does any of this have to do with the situation that we face? North Korea is a dictatorship, one that still employs death camps and brainwashes its people into being drooling worshippers to the dictator, and is a country that respects no civil rights and no conventions of diplomacy; yet you wonder why people have such an issue with that country? North Korea is a vicious, angry, rogue-state that cares nothing but doing what it pleases, banking on the spinelessness of western politicians to get away with their ranpant criminal activity.

This is hypocracy. You say that we shouldn't take North Korea seriously, and yet you totally believe in what the US President says? The US isn't infinite in its power, it cannot do as it pleases because it is bound by laws and conventions all nations are expected to follow and obey, yet North Korea seems to be the only country given such wide and numerous exceptions to such laws; even rewarded for such criminal activity. It is far harder for Trump to launch a nuke than it is for North Korea. And honestly, I would not easily dismiss the threats of a crazed tyrant to nuke someone, because, quite simply, he might just do it.

I bet even if Trump held back and North Korea did nuke someone that such an attack would, somehow, still be Trump's fault.

North Korea is not just some bothersome little country that mildly irritates the US, it is a country continually threatening and blustering about nuking the US and its allies, and is actually in the process of producing the nukes to hit said targets with. The US, like any country, has a right to defend itself and its people, and all North Korea has to do is stop; stop threatening, stop blustering, stop trying to create nukes. But they won't. They never will stop. And just because doing a thing would be crazy and self-destructive doesn't mean they won't do it.
