Hi folks, can someone explain the media section for a newbie like me? I don't quite understand it as it isn't like the forum threads. Is it instead of having an art section of the forums? :3

Pretty much yeah. While you can obviously post pics in the forum threads, sometimes people like a special convenient place for their art/anim.

The media sections is for artists to share their art, and optionally for people sharing art of their characters they have gotten and commissioned, not general art stuff.
