Yeah I tried that last night, party got slaughtered by Eparch as people didn't run back from death and people split up too much between portals and the boss. I at least got info I needed about the mastery point, seems it was on top of the castle near a pool of blood. Entire mission ended in failure but it still claimed I got 115% participation despite coming in for the dragon, gate keeper, and to try Eparch. Heart of Thorns isn't one people seem fond of these days, sadly I need items from those woods for my dragon hunter bow and reaper sword but I doubt I'll ever get them if they're from group missions. I go in and there's not another player for miles
During the final fight against Eparch, I often just stay beneath him to avoid most of the full-room attacks that constantly sweep through, so I only have to worry about the cracks on the floor. I often use full-on condition damage builds against final bosses in meta events like this to go with other players, because I feel like you'll need loads of damage to contribute, and you can (usually) rely on others to revive you if you're downed.
Also, my story progress on End of Dragons far : I almost managed to smooth-talk my way out from being arrested, after the mess that Ankka caused. Though, the story after that doesn't really leave much of an impression on me. Even the pretty creepy Arborstone doesn't cut it for me much (well, except the floating dead body). PvE-wise, Echovald makes me think of Heart of Thorn maps, pretty rough to navigate around (though, at least there're zip lines, and I have the dragon mount). Still trying to fully complete the map before or at least during the story before I move on to the next map, and hopefully I have enough mastery points for the fishing and skiff.
Regarding classes : The other day I decided to gear up my Druid, which turns out to be pretty damn good healing-wise, similar to Firebrand F2. Although, the celestial avatar runs out rather too quick, so for the moment I'm using the spirits instead of glyphs, basically just chugging boons in there for everyone. I wish skill 1 of the staff has a bigger beam and not just a thin line, so I can heal others easier. I find myself using hammer most of the times instead.
Bladesworn seems to have lots of potential with tank/healer too, and the Gunsaber can attack at long-range, so my only other weapon is a staff, also for healing. She and my Engineer will be the next to go to Cantha. As much as I like my Necromancer who can survive and solo most group events, I kinda want a change, see how others play out.
