Guild Wars 2

I don't know why this is so funny to me. A mesmer having troubles with their clones just randomly deciding "nah, we ball now" and fuck things up, lol.
I'd find it funny if the fact my mesmer is blood legion that for some reason is why her clones are blood thirsty, but yeah I wish I was lying but yeah nah her clones thirst for blood at the craziest times

So Idk why it took me so long to realize this but I found out how the trading post works recently. When you sell something to the trading post and they offer you a default amount of money that amount is what someone put in a order to pay for that item. By quick selling you're actually just helping the trading post fill orders and if you list the item yourself they'll put your item up for that price for others to buy. I found this out when I tried to sell something I could make for cheap and make a lot of gold for..only for the price I'd get after the first one sold dropped by more than half so the last two I was going to sell went from giving me 98 gold to only 40g so I listed it a gold cheaper than the other high price listing. The item was a thing called a Mystic Fountain Node (or whatever it was exotic quality and parts were dirt cheap) that allows you to access the mystic fountain from anywhere for free and unlike the yellow quality part used to make it it was endless use. Really nice item I hope mine sell but I don't use the fountain that much as is so I don't need a portable one that bad.

On the Wiki page when you see it talk of trading post and prices the top one is what people are currently asking people to pay for them and bottom is what people got orders to buy if you sell one for.

I just quick sell for, well, quick cash out... never had the patience to wait, which sadly might be the cause for my tanking money...

On another paw, I found a dual-wield crowd-control build for Warrior and I am absolutely loving it. I got way too much stability and quickness for my own good, using two maces to beat up everything senseless.

The other day I was doing the meta at Bava Nisos, where everyone was fighting that tentacle monster (the first boss before moving in to destroy the 3 organs). We got wrecked because we didn't manage to break its defiance bar in time, and someone said something like, "nobody runs CC in open world". Boy, do I have good news for them, lol. My current Warrior build WRECKS defiance bar and disables enemies like nothing, while giving me quickness and stability to just stand there and tank it all, without worrying about being interrupted. Against champion-rank enemies in open world and not part of meta, this build can easily break their entire defiance bar in 2-3 hits.

I decided to change all my Warrior's equipment stat from Berserker to Dragon and Marauder, for some extra vitality for better survival. Armors get Marauder stats, with the Spellbreaker rune ; weapons and trinkets get Dragon stats.

In fact, I'm also gonna change equipment of my Mechanist and Reaper, from Berserker to Dragon and Marauder, to get the extra vitality.

Though, I already know what I want to do (or rather, avoid) when I get back to GW2 : NOT touching WvW, ever again.

I said it before, I absolutely hate Tangled Depths (Heart of Thorn) and Bava Nisos (Janthirs Wild), and I still do, but those 2 maps are now slightly more tolerable with Blish HUD to help me navigate. However, WvW has taken the cake now.

Every new day, I open the game already dreading, what do I hav to do in WvW for Wizard's Vault daily objectives. Every new Monday, I dread even more at the weekly objectives. Whatever it is, I have to hope I don't run into enemy players, or at least enemy players that also know that I don't wanna fight, only want to complete the objectives and be done with it, because I cannot PvP for the life of me. I don't have the reflex or build for it, and my laggy connection does not help either.

I really like GW2, but I hate WvW mode, and I don't want to feel like doing a job I hate when playing it, so I'm avoiding it like a plague from now on.
Another thing I should mention, is this.

So, apparently Wizard Vault has the option to show objectives for PvE, PvP and/or WvW. I never knew that, and always thought I had to do some PvP and WvW too, just to clear the objectives, which quickly led me to try, and HATE WvW (still hate it).

Now that I only need to do PvE, I feel a lot better. No need to worry about stupid PvP or WvW anymore.

I'd rather grind for mastery points.
One last thing I wanna bring up, is mastery points. The most difficult one for me was Icebrood Saga ; some of the achievements are just purely luck and not worth it, and I hate them.

~ Party Guardian : I have to find and kill all 6 champions that spawn after each festival event in Grothmar Valley... right now I only have Ghost Mage left, but it never EVER spawns. I've been trying to camp it for days, to no luck.
~ Koda be Praised : I have to finish all unique prime challenges in Bjora Marches, and right now I only have one left, something about stopping the Svanir patrol. The ONE FUCKING TIME it was on, the event was bugged. There was not a single Svanir in the area. Just awesome.
~ Luminiferous : I have to finish all the Raven puzzles in Bjora Marches, and some of them are just fucking awful. I have to navigate the light, rotate the mirrors, AND try to avoid all the enemies in the area. It's not fair, it's tedious, it's bullshit, it's not worth it.

However I managed to make up for it with others.
~ Grinding Dragon Response missions : I completed the challenges of avoiding the shockwaves with the final boss challenge activated. I think I got lucky because I really did not know what would count as the shockwaves to avoid, but I still got it.
~ Grinding Dragonstorm and Storm of Winter meta : Tedious and kind of time-consuming, but at least it's certain I'd get the damn mastery points at the end, instead of having to hope I get lucky.

There were more but those were the achievements I remember for now. But, now that I've got all mastery points for all of Icebrood Saga, I don't give a damn about anything else. I can just do whatever meta I want whenever I want without having to look at my EXP bar stuck, and that's good enough for me.

Been a bit since I last posted on this thread but lets see a little update I've acquired the legendary Relic and now I can easily scrap the others as by default it seems to record all the base relics but you gotta unlock the others. What do i mean by base relics well I mean like I can use the relic of the weaver and I didn't unlock that relic prior so if its default set 1 & 2 it seems they let you use those with the legendary relic for free but the achievement based ones that come in sets of 4-5 relics you gotta unlock for the legendary to add them to the list. Was..a lot of scrapping and work but it's quite a useful item.

Now for the stuff I wanted to mention or add, as of the time of this post the chinese new years event is going and it seems that during the event they're letting you buy a seemingly endless amount of the legendary essence of luck needed to buy prior event pieces, I used the vault to acquire 8 and bought the snake pants from last year for example. This year, year of the Horse, the item is boots that make your feet become horse hooves. They're actually somewhat nice, still annoyed the wiki is taking forever to show people what they look like but for those curious they seem to resemble clydesdale hooves in that they're big hooves and they got a bunch of hair/fluff around the ankles. I've however only seen them on charr thus far but they're interesting for sure and look nicer than the demon outfit's goat hooves. My guild mates are... not so..happy as I actually called it that it'd be shoes and they're possibly in shock or just meh about it. You can acquire the year's zodiac themed item by doing 5 of the annual jobs. Only one I had difficulty with was the er...running the race on foot without mount part but it helps warrior has a lot of movement abilities.

Meanwhile, I'm still here struggling with Revenant... I don't know how to properly maintain DPS and self-healing. Even just some lousy mobs at Siren's Landing, especially that flying kingpin or the magma elemental, they can really fuck me up.

I have an easier time with Catalyst spear. 5, then jade sphere, then 2 or 4, then 5 (now empowered), then switch element.

I want that legendary backpack from Janthir, but it is a lot of ass grinding...

Also, should note that Warrior's weapons swap is now 5 seconds by default without the Discipline specialization, and if you have the Warrior relic then weapon swap is down further to 2.5 seconds I think. Major buff for Warriors.

There's the new gamemode, Raid Quickplay (similar to Fractal but now it's Raid... which are actually mostly strike missions). I did it a few times and got a relic container from the new expansion VoE... so I chose the Alliance one for my Mechanist : whenever I use a signet, it recharges all other signets 1 and a half seconds.

I'm not interested in this Raid Quickplay much, but I might keep at it for Relic of Shackles : immobilizing an enemy tethers them to you and stuns them. This relic has Spellbreaker written all over it~

Only one I had difficulty with was the er...running the race on foot without mount part but it helps warrior has a lot of movement abilities.
Mechanist can also use the signet to teleport forward, and pair it with the right traits the passive effect is both stronger AND still there during cooldown. Hammer 3, spear 2 and 5 (a bit slow) and rifle 5 add to it, too.

Speaking of movement skills with Warrior, I have another build that focuses on those (mainly from greatsword and dagger/pistol) to give myself adrenaline and stability. Really helps with getting rid of immobilization.

Well, I decided to delete half of my roster. Mesmer, Revenant, Thief, and Guardian, are gone.

Wasted quite the money for their total makeover and name change, just to now banish them to the Shadow Realm, and right before New Year too ! But, I don't regret it. I can't play those classes well, so why keep them there anyway ?

I'd delete my Elementalist too, but she is in my roster solely because she represents my son, back when his PC broke and he couldn't play the game. The Elementalist is there in his honor. I don't really feel it with Ranger either, but I've already unlocked all bag slots for her, so... yeah, she's also staying. These two are gonna be in the homestead, though.
