“Krypto” is coming in the new “Superman” film!

In July of 2025, James Gunn is putting out a new “Superman” movie in which Supes will have his dog, Krypto, with him! Krypto is not anthropomorphic and will bark rather than talk, but does have his master’s powers of super-strength, super-speed, and so on. Krypto even basically rescues a badly-injured Superman in an early scene! He’s an underrated powerhouse, and someone we canids can look forward to seeing…

Yeah, they changed the traditional species of canine. Used to be like a lab but now is this...terrier? Not sure.

No big deal but not sure why they'd bother to change that at all aside from to get people talking I guess. I mean, it doesn't affect the story any more than if they changed a human character's race I suppose. Supposedly James Gunn just based the new look on bis own dog or something.
