Share the cool stuff you've bought / thinking of buying recently!

Thought I'd resurrect this thread as today I found this funky little deck of Tarot cards at a local craft fair / second-hand market and wanted to share:

Check it out, boys - my new PS5 Pro just came in, and I just got finished setting it up with all the other stuff I had already bought for it. Yes, I'm one of THOSE...well..."idiots", shall we politely say, that bought one. A pre order, actually. Does NOT come with anything but the console itself plus one controller, and that's literally it. No other extras, no games, nothing. Not even a disc drive. For $700 close to $800 after shipping and tax)! Right now I only have four games for it - Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Spyro: Reignited (for PS4, because there is no PS5 version, and I assume it's backwards compatible), Sonic Origins Plus, and Ghosts of Tsushima: Director's Cut. I'll soon get Minecraft PS5, but that was not currently released when I went and bought all the extra shit. As for digital stuff, I'll get Skyrim and a few other things. Merry Christmas and Happy (late) Birthday to me! This was my big holiday splurge on myself for the year.

@Katara the Sergal let us know if you see any significant difference in graphical quality!
I'm not sure I'm really the person to tell you one way or the other on that, never having owned the base PS5. This is my first experience with a PS5 at all, and I've also never owned an Xbox Series X/Series S. I had an Xbox One S several years ago, but that was the newest console I ever owned, and I haven't even had it for a handful of years.

LIFTSHERTAIL?
Something just struck me; did you not realise that 'Lifts-Her-Tail' is actually the canonical name of the Lusty Argonian Maid?

I once made a point in Skyrim of trying to build as complete as possible a library of every book I could find. There are several volumes of 'the Lusty Argonian Maid' to be found in-game, all very short, all hilariously packed with double entendres, and her name is indeed given as 'Lifts-Her-Tail'.

Seriously? Jesus, I need to play Skyrim. I've seriously never played the game before (or any Elder Scrolls game), and I just like Argonians in general because of...well, let's just say, a lot of adult art I've seen. I do know a fair bit about them in general. That's fucking hilarious about the books, and now suddenly the lusty Argonian maid thing makes way more sense. I never knew why that was such a popular theme with them. God, I really want to play Skyrim now, and I actually have it bought for PS5, I just haven't touched it yet.

Here ya go :D

Jesus christ. I won't pretend I wasn't cracking up reading that. God, I want an Argonian maid, though. Guaranteed, if I end up playing Skyrim, my character is definitely going to be an Argonian, and I'm sleeping with every Argonian character possible in the game...which there's like two or three of, I think, as far as marrying goes? Anyway. God damn, it seems like the maid isn't even the lusty one in that book. Poor maid.

This whole black Friday/black week/whatever stuff tends to be rather useless for me, but for once it worked out. There's this keyboard which is both mechanical and very flat low-profile (laptop-style), a rare unicorn of sorts. It did cost a bit but now I found it with the price slashed in half! About time too as my trusty Logitech k740 (low-profile membrane but of higher quality) starts wearing out after 8 years of intense use, keys failing to actuate. Time to try something new.

Not a new thing by any metric. But it needs a honorary mention as it's the best item I ever spent money on, hands down.

A second-hand but apparently lightly used full suspension mountain bike. Old but high-end for its time. Got it from a store specializing in this kind of trade. I had watched it for 3 months actually and nobody wanted it in the meantime. Guess it was because it's old. Well, better for me, the bargain was massive.

It's been little over a year since I have it. I adjusted & exchanged quite a few things about it to make it properly mine. Put about 2000 km on it, it brought me into cool places out in the nature, and out of a couple of risky situations too, unscathed. I came to consider it my trusty steed, affectionately nicknamed it "White Oryx".

A copy of Windows 98 on floppy disks. It's the last Windows version that was available on these. Of course Win98 already existed on CD, and that's the preferable way to install, but guess back then, some people still had PCs without optical drives ^^

It's 39 disks, and luckily I was able to image all of them. Don't ask me how long that took...
