Replica sonic screwdriver (Tom Baker version) all-metal, mostly aluminium. Made by RB Replicas. It doesn’t make the sounds, but neither did the original prop. It does however have the spring loaded mechanism used to ‘activate’ it, just as in the show.

Just added another one to the collection, the Master's Laser Screwdriver, a limited edition my Nawya Replicas. Mostly aluminium and brass except for the small resin spinner at the bottom. It weighs a tonne, and yes it does have the sound and light effects. Pretty impressed with this as it seems to be very screen-accurate, though I can't tell if it's the right size as I don't know how big the 'official' one is and I don't have a copy of the toy for comparison.

That'll be really tricky. The gain of He-Ne in the visible spectrum is so low you need mirrors with 99,9% reflectivity at the wavelength in question. Aluminum or mercury mirrors won't get the job done. They have to be made up of layers of magnesium fluoride with the thicknesses tailored to that specific wavelength.
An infrared He-Ne laser would be more do-able. N2-CO2 lasers are a good deal easier to produce.
