Neither seems very pleasant, especially if I can't reverse the shrinking / teleporting effect. On the other hand, the Death Note has the interesting side-rule that you can specify the cause of death, and that could lead to some interesting lateral usage - how about 'Crushed to death by a horde of sexy groupies who were hurrying to give me lots of hugs and kisses'? Or 'jumped out of a window after realising he accidentally wired all of his life savings to my bank account'?
