All they do is feed the Queen and toil for the Queen and sell overpriced souvenirs featuring all kinds of royalist crap from their souvenir shops. They should try democracy, or do the rat thing where the position in a sleeping pile, staring contests and occasionally biting decides who the leader is :3

Charity: all ants have a 'second stomach' or 'crop' in which they store a small amount of food that is specifically for friends. If another ant is hungry, they simply approach a fellow and tap a request using their antennae and the other and will obligingly... er... vomit in their face.
Farming: not only do some species of ant conduct livestock farming by caring for herds of aphids, ferrying them around to prime feeding sites and 'milking' them of a sweet substance called honeydew, but there are leafcutter ants that collect and compost leaves so that they can be used for cultivating nutritious fungi.
On-the-Job Training: Yep. Can't really elaborate on that one much.

Oh, also that would be C) Goat - it was supposed to 'carry away' all the sins of the people in town. It was an ongoing tradition, possibly pre-biblical, where an animal was made to suffer in order to excuse the wrongdoings of humans. Not uncommon in ancient religions; look at all the bulls sacrificed by the Greeks to appease one deity or another. Though frankly, maybe the goat got something out of it this time, from not having to be around those nasty goat-eating humans any more.
This is where we get the term 'Scapegoat' - literally, the Goat that Escaped.
