One that came to me in a dream! Well, not the beast itself, but the word (although in my dream it was related to a giant deep-sea fish, oddly enough) which I then decided to randomly search in the web only to find this:

Useless fact, moths aren't really attracted to light, it just messes with their internal compasses. They navigate using the moon as a compass, by trying to keep the light from the moon hitting the same part of their compound eye in order to fly in a straight line. But when the light source is close to them it causes them to go round in circles instead, which is why moths tend to circle the light several times before getting stuck on it.
