Big time AAA games will always be a big waste compared to the glory of games made by the smaller developers.

I'm still saying Metal Arms is hands-down one of my favorite games ever, and it was made by a small studio and almost immediately (tragically) forgotten.

I can't believe this guy doesn't like the story? What the hell is he talking about? Oh well.

marxism is a bourgeois ideology, it has always appealed primarily to either violent braindead goons like stalin who just wanted to kill stuff, or bourgeois, if not downright royalty like the pol pots and sartres of the world

I can totally believe it's just an abortion of an ideology, born from a sterile mind that believed itself intelligent, given its extensive track record of failing catastrophically all around the world, but... what if it was designed to wipe out as many people as possible, and had been working as intended?

The Seven Deadly Sins? Y'know, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth, Wrath, Greed, Envy, Pride? (Include Despair if you're in certain religious denominations, that counts for this opinion too)

Absolutely none of them have anything to do with spirituality or intent. Every single one of those has a physiological basis, even if that's just neurology.

I partly base this on my experiences with binge eating disorder (the more commonly-understood form of "Gluttony", though by no means inclusive). To my horror, I found out it only really happens with certain foods - and that no amount of "morality" actually stopped me from overeating.

"Pride" would fall under narcissistic personality disorders.

"Sloth" (or Despair if you're in certain denomination) falls under depressive disorders.

And so on.

I'm politically anti weight-loss and pro fat liberation. Got it on my mind today as I got into an argument earlier w folk in a trans group I'm in uncritically providing weight loss advice and it was all quite stressful. Citations for the beliefs: Maintenance Phase podcast is great starting point, and I remember once reading Belly of the Beast. Also all bodies are awesome and folk shouldn't be banned from affirming surgeries due to weight. Also, removing culty slimming world posters would be a good thing to do.

Time to throw a spicier one in here....

If we have to keep the acronym in the future, it's high time we split it up.

LGBA, and TQ+. (I don't know enough of the extra letters added over the years to tell you the proper second acronym.)

What does the "A" stand for in the first one? Asexual.

The idea is to separate sexual orientation from gender identity, as they are two distinct concepts.

Though controversial I'm sure, I agree.

They're two completely separate concepts with completely different approaches. Treating them like the same thing doesn't help either.

I still just call it "LGBT", since that's what it was called for a long time, and it still gets the point across. Sure, it doesn't have a few more letters, but it's implied. It might as well just mean "everyone who isn't straight".
