Unfortunately it ran away from home and joined the circus

Fortunately it is an evil animal transformation circus, where kids get transformed into animals by a mustache-twirling ringmaster. And then they have to live there as circus animals.

(That's fortunate because it's a nice story setup, the circus animal adventures are sure to be super intriguing. I'd super watch that cartoon and, if it was still the 90s, join a fan webforum where teenagers make up transformed circus animal OCs and such)

Unfortunately it's so popular that all the kids in the city get transformed and the town becomes a ghost town where the ghosts turn the animals back into kids
